"Why would I need AI to create fantasy sea creatures, when I can do that myself? It made more sense to ask AI to generate components I am less proficient in or can’t do. I created a video in which AI animates a selection of my 149 generated text-to-images, and generates additional text-to-video, sound effects, music and voice-overs."

Eveline Kolijn grew up in the Caribbean, she experienced both the beauty and demise of coral reefs. In 2018, she joined the Energy Futures Lab and in 2019, she received the AUArts Alumni Legacy Award. She recently published two art-science print portfolios and edited a book, Reimagining Fire: The Future of Energy. In 2024, she joins the Coral Reef Ark project, which researches coral preservation and survival.
